A recognition of authentic, sustainable wine tourism rooted in the Ribeira Sacra.

Great news!
We couldn’t be happier to share this with you: we have won the “Del Viajar” 2025 Award, granted by La Alacena Roja, the leading gastronomic and tourism magazine in Galicia.
A recognition that moves us, inspires us… and one we genuinely feel is yours as much as ours.
This award honors the best tourism projects in Galicia each year, combining public voting with the evaluation of a professional jury. In the Del Viajar category, we were competing alongside two wonderful proposals: the Festival de Cans and the Ribeira Sacra shuttle bus service. Being chosen as the winners fills us with pride… and immense gratitude.
At Vía Romana, we believe wine tastes better when you understand the place it comes from. That’s why every experience in our winery is designed so that visitors can:
? Walk among vineyards shaped by heroic viticulture
? Feel the Ribeira Sacra at a slow and gentle pace
? Discover our winemaking process from the inside
? Toast with wines that tell a story
? Experience a place where time moves differently
Today, we receive this award as a tribute to all that effort… but also as a collective embrace to everyone who visits us each year, who recommends our winery, and who voted to make this possible.
If you haven’t lived our experiences yet—or if you’d love to come back—remember that Vía Romana is open all year round. You can choose between our Esencia, 5 Sentidos, Heroica, and Premium tours, literary routes, harvest experiences, and other proposals designed to enjoy wine and landscape the way they deserve.

This award not only recognizes the work of the Vía Romana and Méndez-Rojo team; it also reflects the affection and trust you place in us. Thank you for being part of this journey, for valuing what we do, and for helping us continue to promote quality wine tourism in the Ribeira Sacra.
We’ll keep toasting to many more moments together.
Let’s raise a glass… slowly.
