The Canary Islands artist will perform on August 1 at the Vía Romana winery in an intimate event for just 200 people.

Today we want to tell you about a place that will steal your heart: Ribeira Sacra, a renowned wine appellation that is also a natural spectacle. Here, vineyards defy gravity on impossible terraces, clinging to the slopes above the Miño River, and sunsets are savoured with all five senses.

In this unique setting, the Méndez-Rojo family has created an experience that brings together the very best of Galicia: signature wines, gastronomy rooted in tradition, breathtaking landscapes and live music. It is called Noites Méndez-Rojo, and its second 2025 edition will take place on August 1 at the Vía Romana winery, located in Belesar, a small paradise perched above the river.

Marilia Monzón, a voice full of roots and emotion

Canary Islands artist Marilia Monzón will be the star of this second evening. With a unique sensitivity and a voice that gently captivates, she has shared the stage with Zahara, Valeria Castro and Xoel López. Her performance will be intimate and close, for only 200 people among century-old vines and silent mountains.

The event will begin with a set by the Galician duo The Palangans, already regulars in the series, with their musical proposal blending indie and electronic sounds—perfect for letting yourself go from the first glass of wine to the last dance under the stars.

A sensory experience to taste Galicia

More than a concert, Noites Méndez-Rojo is a meeting with Galician identity. Every detail has been designed so visitors leave with an unforgettable memory: a welcome drink, the Méndez-Rojo family’s signature wines, the creative and locally inspired cuisine of A Faragulla, artisan desserts and ice creams with local flavours from La Central Heladera, and products from Frutos Secos Medina.

All of this takes place in a privileged setting, without crowds. Capacity is limited to just 200 people to preserve comfort and authenticity.

A note from the host

The experience takes place outdoors in a sloping vineyard, so comfortable clothing and suitable footwear are recommended. Although it is summer, nights in Ribeira Sacra can get cool, so don’t forget to bring something warm.

This will be the final concert of the 2025 series, following a successful opening in May with Javier Ojeda. A perfect farewell for those who want to savour Galicia at its deepest level: its land, its wine and its culture.
