The wines of Ribeira Sacra are to be congratulated since they have recently been awarded in different national and international competitions of recognized prestige.

In this way "show that the wines covered under the Denomination of Origin continue to add successes and are increasingly valued for the great quality and peculiarity that characterizes them," report from the Regulatory Council in a note.

The prizes obtained recently by wines with D.O. Ribeira Sacra are:

• Small D.O. Award. 2017: Silver Medal for Malcavada Mencia 2015 from the winery Araceli Vázquez Rodríguez located in Sober, Lugo.
• Pemios Monovino Monovarietales 2017: Mention of Honor for Tear Mencía 2015 of the winery Manuela Valdés Pérez de Sober, Lugo.
• Catavinum 2017 Awards: Gold Medal: Forgotten Banners Barrica 2014 from the cellar Adega Ponte da Boga S.L. Of Castro Caldelas, Orense.
• Silver Medals: Historical Expression barrique 2014 and Ponte da Boga Albariño 2015 both also from the cellar Adega Ponte da Boga S.L ..
• Silver Medal: Finca Cuarta Mencía 2015 from the winery Rubén Moure Fernández de Pantón, Lugo
• Silver medals: Via Romana Godello 2015, Via Romana Mencía 2015 and VR Mencia barrel 2012 the three of the cellars Wineries and Vineyards Via Romana S.L. From Chantada, Lugo.
