11 November 2016

Via Romana opens its doors for free next Sunday 13th November on the occasion of the European Wine Day from 11 to 14 and from 17 to 20 h. In our winery we celebrate every year this date with a day of open doors for all those wine lovers who want to get closer to know their environment and their wines. 2016 will also end up being a record year of visits for Via Romana, which received in the summer months around 2,000 enotourists and more than 5,000 throughout the year.

The impressive mountains shaped by the Minho, the Winter Road, the highest concentration of Romanesque style in Europe, native forests, excellent gastronomy ... The Ribeira Sacra have ingredients to attract the most demanding travelers, and so do us Know our wine-lovers, who on their visit to Ribeira Sacra and Vía Romana seek to disconnect, feel and live a landscape, its culture and its history, what we call slow life or live without haste, and that ultimately is to live an authentic experience.

A glass of wine for the pilgrims of the Winter Road
The stage of the Winter Road that passes by Via Romana begins in Monforte de Lemos, descends to the river Miño and finds the winery on the way up to Chantada. Since last August, this route has been made official, Via Romana offers a free glass of wine to all the pilgrims who come to visit us.
